DEVELOPMENT OF A METHODOLOGY FOR COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT IN RECREATIONAL MANAGEMENT: RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE LOS PADRES NATIONAL FOREST MANAGEMENT PLAN


This project seeks to develop recommendations for Los Padres National Forest in order to increase and improve the quality of the public's involvement in the development of the recreational element of the forest management plan. This project hopes to increase interest and involvement of community stakeholders in forest stewardship. Participants include graduate students from the Donald Bren School of Environmental Science & Management, University of California at Santa Barbara, USDA-FS, Santa Barbara Ranger District, and Community Forestry International.
